Easy Calzones

 

1 lb. bulk Italian or breakfast sausage

2 cups fresh spinach, chopped

2 1/2 cups (10 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese

1 16 oz. carton cottage cheese

1 large jar prepared pasta sauce, heated

Parmesan Cheese

Pita bread (about 8 whole)

 

Cook sausage and drain if necessary. Cool about 10 minutes and stir in spinach just long enough to wilt it a bit.  Add mozzarella and cottage cheese. 

 

Stuff into pitas.  Heat in oven at 300(covered with foil) or microwave until cheese melts.  Spoon warm pasta sauce and grated parmesan cheese over tops.
