Chocolate Snappers
1 ¾ c. unsifted flour 2 teaspoons soda 1 teaspoon cinnamon ¼ teaspoon. salt 6 tablespoons cocoa ¾ cup + 2 tblsp. shortening or butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg ¼ cup white corn syrup Extra sugar for rolling dough in
Preheat oven to 350.
In small bowl combine flour, soda, cinnamon, salt and cocoa. Set Aside. In lg bowl beat sugar and egg together until creamy. Stir in corn syrup. Blend in flour mixture until thoroughly mixed.
Using 1 tablespoon dough, shape into balls. Roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes.
