Overnight Tossed Salad

 

1 med. Head iceberg lettuce

1 10 oz. pkg. fresh spinach

1/2 cup sliced green onions

1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved

1 10 oz. pkg. frozen peas, thawed

1 lb. bacon, diced, cooked, drained

 

Dressing:

1 1/2 cup. Mayonnaise

1 cup sour cream

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1/2 tsp. oregano

1/4 tsp. basil

1/4 tsp. salt

dash pepper

 

Tear lettuce and spinch into bite size pieces in a very large bowl.  Add onion, tomatoes, peas and bacon.  Toss gently.

In separate bowl, combine dressing ingredients and mix well.

“Frost” entire surface of greens.  (Do not mix in!)  Cover.  Refrigerate overnight.  Toss dressing with greens just before serving.
